Coal Mining Operator – Open‑Cut Haul Truck

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate a range of mining equipment in line with site procedures and standards.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient production of coal.
• Conduct pre‑start inspections and routine equipment checks.
• Identify and report equipment faults, hazards and potential operational issues.
• Work closely with supervisors and fellow operators to achieve daily production targets.
• Support a positive and respectful team environment.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to safety, environmental standards and safe work practices.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating mining equipment in an open‑cut environment, especially haul trucks.
• Ability to follow instructions, use sound judgement and maintain situational awareness.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a respectful workplace.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with supervisors and site personnel.
• Commitment to achieving production targets without compromising safety or quality.
