Cloud AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud AWS DevOps Engineer to manage and optimise our Windows‑based infrastructure on AWS. The role involves maintaining Windows Server environments, IIS web servers, and SQL Server databases while implementing automated CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2016+ and IIS, including patching, service management and troubleshooting via Event Viewer.
• Perform basic SQL Server 2016+ administration: create and restore databases, run jobs, write T‑SQL queries and resolve common issues.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and Windows batch files to automate routine tasks.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy or GitHub Actions.
• Manage source code versioning and branching strategies with TFS or GitHub.
• Support basic networking concepts and ensure smooth operation of AWS cloud resources.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Windows Server administration and IIS.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills and familiarity with batch scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL Server administration and T‑SQL.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of source control systems (TFS, GitHub) and branching.
• Basic knowledge of networking and AWS services.
