Clinical Trials Coordinator (Registered Nurse)

About the role

Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA), an independent non-profit affiliated with the University of Sydney and collaborating with St Vincent's, Mater Health and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, is seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Coordinator based in Wollstonecraft, Sydney. The coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of assigned melanoma clinical trials, supporting investigators, clinicians, patients and fellow coordinators, while ensuring compliance with state, national and international regulations and protecting participant rights, safety and data integrity. The role involves clinic hours that may fall outside standard business hours and travel across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of designated clinical trials from initiation to close-out
• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with patients, doctors and staff across the Institute
• Maintain accurate trial documentation and medical records
• Perform protocol-driven procedures as required
• Provide support to the broader clinical trials team

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Strong understanding of regulatory legislation, ICH-GCP and clinical trial protocols
• Excellent administrative skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective time management and ability to prioritise
• Empathetic, patient-focused approach
• Full working rights in Australia; student visa holders are not eligible

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Desirable: experience in oncology care settings, ability to perform venipuncture, previous clinical trials coordination experience
