Clinical Nurse Leader - Immigration Detention Centre

About the role

Healthcare Australia is hiring a Clinical Nurse Leader (Clinical Team Leader) to work on-site at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre in Northam, Western Australia. The role provides clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary healthcare team so that detainees receive timely, safe and high-quality care. It works closely with the Health Service Manager to oversee service delivery, support staff development, manage clinical risks and promote positive health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality primary healthcare services
• Provide clinical leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team
• Oversee patient assessment, care planning, referrals and service coordination
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and resolve service delivery issues
• Manage staffing, rosters and clinical resources
• Lead case reviews, clinical meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
• Contribute to service planning, policy development and strategic initiatives

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration (Division 1)
• Minimum of five years' clinical nursing experience in an operational healthcare setting
• Demonstrated leadership experience in primary health, correctional health, community health or another complex healthcare environment
• Confident leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex situations
