Clinical Nurse – Home and Community

About the role

The Clinical Nurse will provide comprehensive specialist nursing care and clinical leadership for our Home and Community Service in Townsville. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday with no weekend or night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist nursing assessment, case management and evaluation across the lifespan.
• Lead, motivate and develop nursing staff while maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Act as a clinical and management resource to ensure quality, best‑practice care.
• Participate in accreditation, Continuous Quality Improvement and systems review activities.

Required profile

• Current National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• Current driver’s licence with reliable vehicle.
• Degree in Nursing and current AHPRA registration with recent practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Postgraduate qualification in Health or related clinical area (desirable).

Required skills

• Nursing assessment and case management.
• Knowledge of funding programs such as HCP, CHSP, QCSS and Fee for Service.
• Understanding of accreditation standards and Continuous Quality Improvement processes.
• CPR certification.
• AHPRA registration.
