Clinical Nurse Educator – Complex Care

About the role

Vitalis Healthcare at Home is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to lead the development of its Complex Care nursing workforce. You will work closely with clinical leaders to design, deliver and continuously improve education programs that support clinical excellence, patient safety and workforce capability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver orientation, onboarding and transition‑to‑practice programs for new and existing staff.
• Develop clinical education resources, competency frameworks and evidence‑based learning materials.
• Facilitate education sessions, workshops and clinical competency assessments.
• Identify workforce development needs and implement targeted learning initiatives.
• Promote best practice, quality improvement and patient safety across clinical teams.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong clinical background in ICU, Critical Care or Acute Care environments.
• Experience in clinical education, staff development, preceptorship or mentoring.
• Current driver licence and willingness to travel across the Sydney metropolitan area.
• Preferred: previous Clinical Nurse Educator experience, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, experience developing clinical competencies, policies and practice guidelines.
