Clinical Nurse - Assertive Community Treatment Team

About the role

The Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) works intensively with adults with severe mental health difficulties using a psychiatric rehabilitation approach. The Clinical Nurse joins a multidisciplinary team with a smaller caseload, providing clinical and professional expertise so that comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care is delivered in line with the Mental Health Act 2016. The role promotes consumer safety and quality of care in the community setting, within the scope of practice set out in the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional expertise to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to consumers
• Work with smaller caseloads as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Promote consumer safety and quality of care in the community setting

Required profile

• Valid Australian work rights; permanent appointments may be made to citizens, permanent residents or visa holders
• Applicants must pass criminal records screening and integrity checking, and possibly a working with children check and pre-employment health assessment
• Applicants may be considered for other similar vacancies within SMHS or the wider WA public sector
