Classroom Teacher - Early Stage One / Stage One

About the role

St Brendan's Primary School, a co-educational Catholic primary school in Ganmain serving children from Kindergarten to Year 6, is recruiting a Classroom Teacher for Early Stage One and Stage One. The role is permanent and full-time, with job shares or part-time considered; commencement is 28 January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire young minds and foster a positive learning environment
• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Provide individual attention to students and address their unique needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve educational outcomes
• Build strong relationships with parents and guardians to support student success

Required profile

• Commitment to the values, mission and ethos of Catholic education and the Catholic Church
• Accreditation (or commitment to obtaining it) and current knowledge of RE pedagogy and the Religious Education curriculum
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
• Thorough knowledge of the K-6 curriculum and ability to plan, deliver and evaluate quality programs
• Knowledge of the K-2 English and Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy for Early Stage One and Stage One
• Knowledge of CEDWW and NESA curriculum compliance requirements
• Ability to use assessment data to personalise and differentiate learning
• Capacity to create a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment
• Flexibility, organisation and interpersonal skills, with a NSW Working with Children Check
• Candidate must undergo a National Criminal History Check
• Accreditation for teachers in a Catholic school (Category B) or working towards it
