Classroom Teacher – 1 Year Maximum Term

About the role

Aspect is seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher for a maximum‑term, 1‑year contract to support students on the autism spectrum. The role begins in Term 3, 2026 and may lead to extension or permanent employment. You will work across our Forestville campus or any of our satellite classrooms.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑informed, individualized learning programs for autistic students.
• Collaborate daily with a teacher aide, families, and multidisciplinary professionals (psychologists, speech and occupational therapists).
• Maintain small class sizes and ensure a supportive, student‑centred environment.
• Monitor and report student progress, contributing to data‑driven outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in special education or autism spectrum education.
• Willingness to work at any of the listed sites (Forestville, St Ives, Lane Cove, Eastwood).
• Commitment to a full‑time schedule (5 days per week) for the contract period.
