Claims Case Manager

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Claims Case Manager to join its Plan Administration team. The role is based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office. You will act as the main point of contact for customers and their representatives on claims for deceased estates, total and permanent disablement, permanent incapacity and terminal illness.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise regularly and directly with customers or their representatives, adapting the way and frequency of communication to their needs and preferences
• Take ownership of every customer request and issue and follow it through to completion
• Record and monitor case details and claim progress in the Case Management workflow system, coordinating with internal and external parties
• Review all correspondence from claimants, including queries, emails and specific requests, to build a complete picture of the case
• Prepare recommendations for the Trustee that comply with product-based rules and regulatory policy requirements

Required profile

• Previous claims experience, preferably in life, death or TPD
• Experience dealing with legal, product and medical practitioners preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of superannuation legislation desirable
• Ability to keep cases confidential and handle them with great sensitivity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• RG 146 compliant
