Civil Labourer – Underground Cabling

About the role

Pearl Recruitment is recruiting experienced civil labourers for a Gnangara-based client that specialises in underground cabling and electrical service installations. The role is ongoing, with an immediate start, supportive training and the chance to earn additional tickets through the company. It suits someone who enjoys hands-on civil work and wants a long-term career.

Key responsibilities

• Assist machine operators with the installation of water, gas, power and NBN conduits
• Use measuring tapes, string lines, hammers and bars to help install services
• Shovel, trench and dig
• Assist the drainage crew
• Compact with self-propelled plate compactors

Required profile

• Previous experience in the civil industry, NBN installation or general labouring
• Ability to use shovels, measuring tapes, string lines, hammers and bars
• Driver's licence and reliable transport to the depot in the morning (manual licence advantageous)
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol assessment
• Unrestricted working rights
• Good physical fitness for labouring
• Willingness to follow site PPE requirements: hard hat, hi-vis, long trousers, safety cap and gloves

What we offer

• $35.00 per hour plus superannuation and penalties
• Ongoing temp-to-permanent role
• Monday to Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm, with occasional Saturday overtime available
• Further training and course pathway opportunities
