Civil Labourer / Drainage Offsider

About the role

A client of Pearl Recruitment Group, which delivers civil and drainage maintenance across the Perth metro area, is hiring Civil Labourers / Drainage Offsiders due to business growth. The work starts from the Malaga depot and involves assisting experienced crews with drainage maintenance, installation and general civil works, with full training and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity.

Key responsibilities

• Travel with the crew in company vehicles from the Malaga depot to worksites across Perth
• Assist with stormwater drainage installation, maintenance and cleaning
• Support pipelaying and general civil works
• Help truck drivers and drainage crews with day-to-day operations
• Support CCTV inspections of drainage structures
• General labouring such as shovelling, digging, trenching and site clean-up
• Use basic hand tools, measuring equipment and small plant
• Complete pre-starts, JSEAs and basic site paperwork
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment

Required profile

• Current C Class driver's licence (manual highly regarded; MR advantageous)
• Current Construction White Card
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
• Comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work
• Previous civil, construction, drainage, pipelaying or general labouring experience highly regarded, but not essential for entry-level candidates
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol assessment
• Full Australian working rights

What we offer

• Pay of $38.44-$40.00 per hour plus super and penalties depending on experience
• Monday to Friday work, 6:00am-2:40pm, with additional overtime
• Full training and on-the-job upskilling
• All PPE supplied
• Genuine temp-to-perm opportunity
