Civil Engineer - Darwin

About the role

Fyfe is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Darwin Civil team. Working alongside experienced engineers, designers and multidisciplinary specialists, you will contribute to civil engineering projects across the Infrastructure, Energy & Resources, Renewables and Property sectors, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering designs and documentation for a range of infrastructure projects.
• Develop stormwater drainage, erosion control and crossing designs for waterways, pipelines, rail and road networks.
• Contribute to concept, feasibility and detailed design solutions while supporting approvals and project reviews.
• Prepare project specifications, scopes of work and technical documentation.
• Work with clients, contractors, councils and regulatory authorities on project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards, industry requirements and best-practice engineering principles.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• RPEQ accreditation, or willingness to work towards it, highly regarded.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within project timeframes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to client service.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical report writing skills.
• Ability to interpret complex design requirements with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software.
