Civil Construction Specialists – North Queensland (Various Roles)

About the role

AECOM is seeking experienced civil construction professionals to join multidisciplinary teams across North Queensland. Positions include Site Inspectors, Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Superintendents’ Representatives supporting a multi‑year design and construction contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver project milestones on site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and Australian standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies and private asset owners.
• Conduct inspections, monitor construction progress and report findings.
• Support the preparation of documentation for TMR accreditation and other regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and optimise construction methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) relevant to civil or construction engineering.
• Proven experience in civil infrastructure, transport or water projects.
• Ability to work onsite in Rockhampton, Townsville, Mackay or Cairns.
• Strong communication skills for complex stakeholder environments.
• Understanding of Australian Standards, TMR pre‑qualification and QRARPEQ registration (or pathway).

Required skills

• Knowledge of Australian Government transport infrastructure standards.
• Familiarity with TMR, VIC Roads, Transport for NSW or Main Roads WA guidelines.
• Experience with NDRRA processes and QRARPEQ registration.
