Children's Wear Designer (Girls 8-16)

About the role

Myer is looking for a passionate Designer to join the Childrenswear team and lead the creative direction of the Tilii brand, a fashionable 8‑16 girlswear line. You will translate trend insights into market‑ready collections, working closely with buying, QA and sourcing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design products from concept through production, ensuring continuous product elevation.
• Conduct commercial‑focused trend research and develop mood boards, colour stories and print concepts.
• Create original artwork using CAD, illustration and Adobe Creative Suite, and compile detailed design packs for vendors.
• Source new fabrics and trims, develop technical specifications and oversee sampling.
• Maintain range boards, flow boards and visual assets for review meetings.
• Collaborate with buyers to enhance product value through strategic sourcing.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in design or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years in fashion design or product development, preferably within a medium‑size retailer.
• Strong understanding of market segmentation, trends, garment construction and fabric properties.
• Ability to interpret international trends for the Australian market.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
