Childcare Trainer & Assessor

About the role

Axiom College is looking for an experienced Childcare Trainer & Assessor to deliver high‑quality vocational education in Early Childhood Education and Care. Based in Milton, Queensland, you will work with students in both classroom and workplace settings, helping them achieve industry‑ready outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, interactive training sessions aligned with industry standards.
• Conduct classroom‑based and on‑site workplace training and assessment.
• Provide individual mentoring and tailored support to students.
• Assess student work according to RTO standards and give timely, constructive feedback.
• Travel to regional clients and students as required.
• Maintain accurate training and assessment records to meet compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the training team to continuously improve course delivery.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Hold a TAE40122, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
• Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
• At least 5 years recent experience in the Early Childhood Education sector.
• Demonstrated ability to improve learner participation, retention and completion rates.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Willingness to undergo Police Check, Working with Vulnerable People Check and Blue Card.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
