Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will provide financial, commercial and strategic leadership across Hindmarsh's diversified operations, reporting to the CEO and joining the Executive Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape and deliver the Group's long‑term business strategy.
• Provide commercial and financial leadership across construction, property development and retirement living.
• Lead financial planning, capital management and investment decisions to support sustainable growth.
• Strengthen financial performance, balance‑sheet management and funding arrangements.
• Oversee financial governance, risk management, compliance and Board reporting.
• Develop the finance function, improve systems and processes, and build capability within the team.

Required profile

• Significant senior financial leadership experience with ability to influence commercial and strategic outcomes.
• Strong commercial judgement, capable of assessing opportunities, managing risk and influencing strategic decisions.
• Experience in financial strategy, business planning, capital management, governance and financial controls.
• Proven ability to engage confidently with CEOs, Boards, financial institutions and senior operational leaders.
• Success in leading and developing finance teams and enhancing business partnering.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and CA or CPA accreditation.
