Chief Experience Officer

About the role

The Royal Women’s Hospital is seeking a senior leader to shape the experience of patients, visitors and staff. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Experience Officer will drive the People & Culture strategy across a complex, regulated health environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the People & Culture strategy, aligning workforce capability, culture and leadership with clinical priorities.
• Champion human‑centred design to integrate patient, service and employee experiences.
• Oversee consumer partnership initiatives, ensuring voices from under‑represented communities inform service design.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Team and Board on equity, inclusion and belonging risks and opportunities.
• Leverage patient and staff feedback, AI‑enabled technologies and workforce/clinical data to achieve organisational outcomes.

Required profile

• Senior executive experience in a complex health, academic, public or purpose‑driven organisation.
• Proven leadership across patient experience, people, culture, wellbeing and service transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across clinical, operational and corporate domains.
• Authentic, inclusive leadership style that builds trust and high performance.
