Chef Manager

About the role

Southern Cross Care is recruiting a Chef Manager in Fullarton, South Australia, for a permanent part-time position Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:00. The Chef Manager leads the catering function, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals are prepared and served that meet resident preferences and special dietary needs, while keeping compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards and accreditation requirements.

Required profile

• A relevant trade certificate or cookery experience, plus the Food Safety Supervisor Course (Standard 3.2.2A).
• Previous experience as a cook or chef planning and preparing nutritionally balanced, appetising meals in an aged care setting.
• Expertise in Aged Care Standards, food regulatory requirements and supporting residents with dementia.
• Sound problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate computer skills, including Google Workspace and database systems.
