Chef Manager - Catering Team Lead

About the role

Eurest, part of Compass Group, is looking for a Chef Manager to lead a dynamic onsite catering team of 10+ hospitality professionals in the Snowy Mountains region of Jindabyne. The role is hands-on, covering food production, menu-based catering, staff mentoring and client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and manage food production and menu-based catering onsite
• Handle stock control, budgets, weekly reporting and staff mentoring and training, front and back of house
• Build positive customer and client relationships to meet partnership objectives
• Manage finances within a budget and keep operations efficient
• Ensure contract compliance and understand the scope of work, including OH&S compliance

Required profile

• Minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
• Understanding of allergen management and food safety policies and procedures
• Good understanding of the NSW healthy eating framework
• Experience working in bulk produce in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Client-facing role with strong people management and customer-focused service skills
• Experience with full P&L management, menu creation and costing, and roster management
• Working with Children Check and National Police Check required
