Centre Director - Early Learning

About the role

Busy Bees, a global early learning provider with over 130 centres in Australia, is seeking an experienced Centre Director for its Southern River centre (481 Balfour Street, WA 6110) on a full-time fixed-term contract until 1 March 2027. The role leads the team, drives occupancy and quality outcomes, and creates a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-quality early learning service.
• Drive occupancy growth and financial performance in line with budget targets.
• Build, mentor and retain a high-performing leadership team.
• Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework and WA regulations.
• Foster a culture of safety, inclusion and educational excellence.
• Develop strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Collaborate with the Area Director and support functions to achieve strategic goals.
• Lead performance management, workforce planning and succession planning.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved).
• Current Working with Children Check for WA.
• Proven experience leading a service, ideally in a medium to large centre.
• Genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), EYLF and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage occupancy, rosters and financial performance.
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
