Catering Assistant - Aged Care Home

About the role

BaptistCare is hiring a casual Catering Assistant for its Blue Hills Manor Aged Care Home in Prestons, NSW. The role is based at the aged care home, which offers 24-hour care and support to residents, and there are plenty of shifts available. The aim is to serve residents with comfort, care and connection through quality food service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages
• Clean kitchen, dining and café areas and equipment
• Take orders and operate POS and EFTPOS systems where applicable
• Assist with food preparation and reheating meals
• Ensure meals are delivered correctly and on time
• Cater to dietary requirements and follow the site Food Safety Program

Required profile

• Experience working with food and cleaning chemicals
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure with empathy and patience
• Alignment with the organisation's values
