Casual Training Analyst

About the role

The Casual Training Analyst supports Cubic Defense in delivering realistic defence training exercises. You will work closely with Army Observer Trainers and engineering teams to ensure equipment, training facilities and analysis processes run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with issue, receipt and return of all exercise equipment.
• Conduct operator maintenance and functional checks on the Mission System.
• Set up the Exercise Control Centre (ECC), accommodation and After‑Action Review (AAR) facilities.
• Provide pre‑exercise training to participants and operate an analysis station during exercises.
• Observe and analyse tactical events alongside Army Observer Trainers to support multimedia AAR production.
• Record observations in the Defence lessons database and help produce Take‑Home Packs summarising lessons learned.
• Support the refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) with management and engineering teams.
• Assist in the set‑up and pack‑up of equipment and operate support vehicles up to medium rigid.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar training or exercise support role.
• Eligibility to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Industry security clearance.
• Familiarity with Army terminology and Combined Arms Training up to Combat Team level.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work in a small, high‑performing team, travel as required and work outdoors.
• Strong interpersonal, time‑management and written/ verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude and capacity to operate in a high‑volume environment.
