Casual Physiotherapist – Aged Care

About the role

Aegis is seeking a motivated and flexible Casual Physiotherapist to provide cover across its Aegis facilities in the metropolitan Perth area, north and south of the river. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, works with different teams and keeps a flexible schedule; availability during the Christmas and New Year period is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services with a diverse caseload
• Assess, monitor and recommend on falls prevention, musculoskeletal conditions, acute and chronic pain management, mobility and exercise prescription (Physitrack subscription available)
• Deliver functional retraining, equipment provision, cardiovascular and respiratory rehabilitation education, continence, bowel and pelvic health, positioning, manual tasks and transfers, and oedema management
• Advocate for residents, support training and education, and contribute to quality monitoring and continuous improvement
• Work alongside Senior Clinicians and take part in peer support activities

Required profile

• Genuine interest in working with older people and passion for enablement and rehabilitation
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and an appetite for innovation
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication, able to work independently and in a team
• Physiotherapy qualification and AHPRA registration
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass national police clearance
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to all sites in the Perth metro area, including Busselton
