About the role
Bushland Beach Medical Centre in the Townsville region is looking for a reliable, approachable casual medical receptionist. The role makes patients feel welcome while keeping a busy reception desk running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Answer calls and manage appointments
- Welcome patients and update their details
- Process payments and Medicare claims
- Support the doctors, nurses and reception team
Required profile
- Warmth, patience and clear communication
- Attention to detail and respect for confidentiality
- A calm approach when things get busy
- Flexibility to cover shifts and staff leave
Experience with Best Practice, HotDoc, Cubiko and PRODA is preferred but not essential. Applications close on 30 November 2026.
