Casual Event Paramedic

About the role

Surf Life Saving Services, the commercial arm of SLSNSW, is looking for qualified paramedics on a casual basis. It targets registered paramedics with at least 12 months' experience, deploying them to events across Sydney and the greater Sydney region, including sporting events, government events and medical support roles such as film set medical. Work is flexible, with shifts chosen according to personal availability and preference.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality health services within your clinical scope.
• Complete patient care records and incident reports on time.
• Carry out proactive surveillance and patrols at events, focusing on risk mitigation, identifying safety hazards, escalating issues and intervening early for vulnerable people.
• Manage communications effectively and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• A minimum of 12 months of clinical experience as an AHPRA-registered paramedic, preferably with an Australian state ambulance service.
• Valid and unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Current Working with Children Check and criminal record check.
