Casual Dispensary Technician - Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

Slade Pharmacy, part of Icon Oncology Group, is looking for a motivated pharmacy or dispensary technician to join its team at Slade Pharmacy Camberwell, located inside Epworth Camberwell Private Hospital. The position is casual, and full training is provided to help candidates move into hospital pharmacy. The pharmacy offers rehabilitation services and mobility aids, and is close to the train station, with a tram stop, local cafés and free on-site parking.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and supply medication for hospital patients and outpatients.
• Deliver medication and collect rounds to hospital wards.
• Assist with managing ward imprest and stock management activities.
• Support patients, hospital staff and associated employees.
• Handle pharmacy claims and general administration duties.

Required profile

• Permanent Australian working rights.
• Minimum 1 year of dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy; hospital pharmacy experience is desirable but not required.
• Previous pharmacy dispensing experience is required.
• Certificate III/IV in pharmacy (community or hospital) or equivalent is desirable.
