Casual Commis Chef - Strathfield Golf Club

About the role

A casual Commis De Partie (CDP) is wanted for the Strathfield Golf Club bistro, which is open for lunch and dinner every day. You will report to the Head Chef and work within a professional hospitality group. The position is casual, around 24-30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sous and Head Chefs to ensure efficient food production and quality control.
• Prepare exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavour and appearance.
• Run the section or sections allocated.
• Ensure the highest standards of presentation and quality.
• Assist in managing the kitchen in the absence of the Sous/Head Chef.
• Follow all food safety procedures and legislation.

Required profile

• Motivated chef with a passion for creating excellent dishes.
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a busy restaurant.
• Punctual, self-driven and autonomous, while open to direction and learning.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Valid Australian working visa.
