About the role
Join SGS Australia as a Casual Coal Sampler in Mayfield West, NSW. You will work in a fast‑paced laboratory and field environment, handling coal samples for internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Collect coal samples from client sites and transport them to the laboratory.
- Perform physical testing including crushing, weighing, drying, milling and sieving.
- Record, sort, store and deliver samples to customers.
- Maintain sampling equipment and ensure compliance with SGS quality and HSE standards.
Required profile
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Flexibility to cover day, afternoon, night, weekday and weekend shifts.
- Physical ability to handle manual loads of 15 kg or more throughout the shift.
- A “can‑do” attitude and willingness to meet tight deadlines.
Required skills
- Experience with coal sampling and testing (advantageous).
- Forklift licence (desirable).
- High‑risk work ticket (desirable).
