Casual Chef – Folly Foot by Busy Bees

About the role

Busy Bees, an early learning provider with over 130 centres across Australia, is seeking a passionate and organised Casual Chef for its Folly Foot centre. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals that support the health, wellbeing and development of children aged 0-5 years, working Monday to Friday during daytime hours only.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines
• Cater for allergies, intolerances and cultural dietary requirements
• Manage food ordering, budgeting and stock control
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Safety Standards
• Work with the Centre Leadership Team and contribute to children's learning about nutrition and healthy eating

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook (childcare experience highly regarded)
• Genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values
• Working with Children Check for NSW, or willingness to obtain it
• Employment is conditional on satisfactory pre-employment checks including WWCC-WWVP, ID, qualifications, Gecko Training, work rights, NQAITS register, prohibited persons and references

Required skills

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene
• Understanding of allergen management and child-safe practices
• Strong organisation and time management
