Casual Audio-Visual Technician

About the role

Pro Light & Sound, a leading Australian AV and event production company, is expanding into Sydney and is building its casual crew from the ground up. As casual event staff you will help bring events to life from bump-in through to bump-out, working hands-on across some of Sydney's best venues. Shifts vary with the event calendar, so the work suits people who want flexible, varied work rather than a fixed 9-to-5. Attitude and enthusiasm matter more than years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and set up AV and event equipment.
• Assist with bump-in and bump-out at venues across Sydney.
• Help set up lighting, audio, staging and vision under direction.
• Help build, create and set up branding, custom builds, styling and décor products.
• Keep sites tidy, safe and running smoothly.
• Pack down and return gear at the end of events.

Required profile

• A strong work ethic and a reliable, can-do attitude; all levels of experience are welcome.
• Physical fitness, as the work involves lifting and standing on your feet.
• Availability that flexes with the event calendar, including early starts, late finishes and weekends.
• A team player who takes pride in getting the job done right.
• Event or AV experience is a plus, but attitude matters most.
• A current driver's licence is preferred.
