Casual Academic – Information Technology (North Sydney)

About the role

The Peter Faber Business School at Australian Catholic University is seeking casual academic staff to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Information Technology. Positions are based at the North Sydney campus and may also involve online delivery for nationally coordinated units.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver tutorials, workshops and practical learning activities for assigned IT units.
• Mark assessments, moderate, and handle related academic administration in line with ACU policies.
• Provide timely academic support, consultation and guidance to students across both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Meet assessment, grading and results deadlines while adhering to ACU quality standards.
• Contribute to high‑quality teaching practices across face‑to‑face, blended and online contexts.

Required profile

• Doctorate or substantial progress towards a doctorate in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within ACU and with external stakeholders.
• Experience in online teaching and supporting student learning in digital or blended environments.
• Strong organisational skills to plan work, prioritise tasks and use ACU processes efficiently.
