Carpenters – New Residential Construction

About the role

Joii is seeking qualified carpenters to join its Southeast Queensland team for new residential construction projects. You will work on a variety of timber and steel‑frame homes, contributing to the build from start to finish while supporting the community.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install and repair wood, plywood, wallboard and other building components.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.
• Select and prepare timber or steel members, cut, shape, assemble and nail components.
• Erect timber or steel framework, roof framing and lay sub‑floors.
• Maintain a safe, clean worksite and adhere to construction standards.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Hard‑working, reliable and able to follow instructions.

Required skills

• Valid Carpentry qualification (AQF Certificate III with ≥2 years on‑the‑job training or AQF Certificate IV).
• Experience with timber or steel frame construction (or willingness to work on both).
• Current Construction OHS (White) card.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence.
