Care Worker – Hotel Services (Kitchen, Cleaning & Laundry)

About the role

We are looking for a Care Worker to join Uniting Yamba’s Hotel Services team in a residential aged‑care home. The role supports residents by delivering kitchen, cleaning and laundry services, helping maintain dignity, independence and a comfortable daily environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals following safe food‑handling practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, communal areas and kitchen facilities.
• Operate laundry equipment, sort, wash and fold linens and clothing.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure services meet residents’ individual needs.
• Adhere to health, safety and infection‑control standards at all times.

Required profile

• Empathetic and adaptable attitude with a commitment to high‑quality service.
• Ability to work flexibly across kitchen, cleaning and laundry areas.
• Willingness to work weekdays with optional weekend shifts.
• Compliance with Uniting’s core values of compassion, respect, boldness and creativity.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience in hospitality, catering, cooking, kitchen‑hand or cleaning roles (preferred).
• Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene standards.
• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent (not mandatory).
