Care Services Advisor - Workplace Injury Management

About the role

Cater Care is looking for an experienced Care Services Advisor to join its Care Services team in Sydney (Parramatta and Western Suburbs). The role supports employees through workplace injury management and return-to-work, working with operational teams, healthcare professionals, insurers and other stakeholders. It is a permanent full-time position of 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workplace injuries and workers' compensation matters from initial injury to resolution
• Assess injuries, medical information, treatment recommendations, prognosis and work capacity, and advise operational teams
• Work with treating practitioners to establish capacity and suitable duties
• Develop, implement and monitor return-to-work and work capacity plans
• Identify suitable duties that balance medical restrictions with operational needs
• Coordinate medical and allied health appointments where required
• Liaise with insurers, workers' compensation authorities and other stakeholders
• Support workers' compensation payroll and insurance reconciliation
• Maintain accurate, timely and compliant injury management records
• Provide reporting, insights and analysis on safety, wellbeing and workers' compensation performance
• Improve injury management processes, systems and practices

Required profile

• Ideally experience in workers' compensation, injury management or claims management
• Experience in the allied health sector or a strong understanding of allied health practice
• Knowledge of workers' compensation legislation and injury management requirements
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Human Movement, Exercise & Health, Sports Science, Allied Health or a related discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and case management skills, and sound computer and data management and reporting capabilities
