Capability Building Manager

About the role

Novartis is seeking an experienced Capability Building Manager to strengthen enterprise‑wide capability across Marketing, Sales, Value & Access, and Medical Affairs. The role will act as the voice of learning, assessing needs, localising global programmes and ensuring measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Assess capability needs across Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs and Value & Access and align them with global learning strategy.
• Localise, deploy and deliver global learning programmes such as Rep of the Future, ICE, IMEx and 6IBs.
• Partner with functional heads and subject‑matter experts to identify priority gaps and develop learning solutions.
• Coordinate learning sessions, trainer organisation, conference training and mid‑cycle capability programmes.
• Deliver blended learning experiences and collaborate with technology owners to support adoption of capability tools.
• Monitor adoption, effectiveness and impact of programmes and report outcomes to functional leaders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in capability‑building, learning and development or commercial excellence within pharma/healthcare.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical functions including Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Value & Access.
• Excellent stakeholder management, project coordination and ability to work in a matrix environment.
• Experience measuring training effectiveness and business impact.
