Capability Analyst – Fundamentals Inputs

About the role

The Capability Analyst will work within Army Headquarters, G8-Systems and Integration and Land Fires Directorate, supporting the delivery of Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) outcomes for the LAND 6504 Medium Range Ground Based Air Defence program.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Army’s efforts to support acquisition of MRGBAD capability, defining FIC requirements and informing the business case.
• Develop FIC assessment, management & assurance, integration requirements, and transition planning documents.
• Prepare executive briefs, presentations and decision‑support products for senior leadership.
• Maintain the LAND 6504 FIC baseline, ensuring requirements are planned, costed, phased and aligned with schedules.
• Analyse FIC requirements, identify gaps, risks and opportunities, and provide advice on integration and risk mitigation.
• Lead governance activities, preparing papers, agendas and tracking actions for capability working groups.

Required profile

• Minimum NV1 security clearance with ability to obtain NV2 (NV2 preferred).
• At least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Defence acquisition projects.
• Must be able to work onsite at Brindabella Business Park five days per week.
• Relevant experience undertaking the listed role responsibilities.
