Canteen Shift Supervisor

About the role

Mt Barker United Soccer Club is seeking a reliable and motivated Canteen Supervisor. The role covers regular shifts on Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday, offering consistent weekend work. The supervisor oversees day-to-day canteen operations, ensures efficient service and a positive customer experience, and works both independently and as part of a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of food and beverages, including coffee
• Operate grill and deep fryer equipment safely and efficiently
• Serve cold drinks, snacks and light meals
• Handle transactions using a POS system and manage cash accurately
• Open and close the canteen, including basic cleaning and stock checks
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Provide friendly and professional customer service

Required profile

• Previous hospitality or food service experience preferred
• Confident handling of food preparation equipment; training can be provided
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
• Reliable, punctual and well organised
• Strong customer service skills
• Willingness to obtain an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate
• ABN holder, or willing to register as a contractor
• Availability for the listed shifts
