Cafe Manager – Lead Operations

About the role

As the Cafe Manager at Ivan's Cafe, you will oversee daily operations of our newly renovated cafe in Braeside. You will lead a dedicated team, ensure high standards of service, and drive the cafe’s continued success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all cafe operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and customer service.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction meet high standards.
• Develop and implement sales and efficiency strategies to enhance the customer experience.
• Foster a collaborative team environment, providing coaching and support to staff.
• Monitor key performance metrics and produce reports for continuous improvement.
• Control costs through effective inventory and waste management.
• Coordinate with the wider Ivan's Pies team to align cafe activities with company objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a cafe or hospitality management role.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and passion for memorable dining experiences.
• Culinary knowledge appreciated, with ability to assist in food preparation.
• Proficiency in inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Adaptable problem‑solver who makes data‑driven decisions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder liaison.
