Cafe Assistant – Barista

About the role

We are looking for a friendly Cafe Assistant to join our coffee service team at Uniting Elanora in Shellharbour. The role is part‑time, offering the chance to create high‑quality coffee and cold drinks for residents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Create and serve a variety of coffee and cold beverages while maintaining consistent quality.
• Welcome customers, take orders, and handle special requests with a friendly service attitude.
• Keep the coffee bar and equipment clean and organised, performing daily maintenance on coffee machines and workstations.
• Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk and other supplies and notify management when stock is low.

Required profile

• Previous experience working as a Barista.
• Resilient, resourceful and able to embody values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness.
• Passionate, engaging and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, high‑energy and able to work well within a positive team environment.

What we offer

• Part‑time role (approximately 19 hours per fortnight) with the possibility of increased hours.
