Business Manager – Statewide THS Pathology

About the role

We are seeking a Business Manager to support the newly formed statewide THS Pathology service. The role will be based in either Launceston or Hobart and will report to the Manager of Finance & Business while working closely with the Executive Director of THS Pathology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality financial insights and analysis to laboratory, clinical and executive stakeholders.
• Support strategic decision‑making and identify operational and commercial improvement opportunities across the pathology service.
• Oversee budgeting, financial management and resource allocation for the statewide service.
• Develop and implement policies, plans and systems in a complex, specialised healthcare environment.
• Act as a key expert advisor to THS Pathology and its operational areas, ensuring compliance with pathology and government requirements.

Required profile

• Finance professional with strong analytical abilities and a proactive, motivated attitude.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities and manage complex projects.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and delivering clear financial recommendations.
