Business Manager - Data Centre Security

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is looking for a Business Manager to oversee the delivery of security services at a data centre in Melbourne's CBD. Reporting to the National Account Manager, you will lead the on-site security team and ensure contractual service requirements are met. This is a full-time position, mostly Monday to Friday, with availability after hours for urgent operational matters.

Key responsibilities

• People management: oversee hiring, training, performance, disciplinary processes and terminations in line with company policy
• Employee development: develop, mentor and support staff to build a high-performing workforce
• Reporting: compile data for Quarterly Business Reviews and attend and lead client meetings
• Cost management: identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies while keeping service quality
• Payroll administration: oversee payroll so hours, allowances and leave entitlements are accurate and submitted on time
• Client relationship management: build strong client relationships and respond promptly to operational issues and service requests
• Incident management: handle operational incidents from initial response through to corrective actions
• Equipment and logistics: manage uniforms and equipment and keep inventory up to date

Required profile

• Prior experience managing security operations, including incident response, compliance requirements, risk management and leading large teams
• Able to lead client meetings confidently, giving operational updates, addressing concerns and presenting solutions
• People-focused leadership style, able to motivate teams and build a positive culture
• Australian citizen holding a current NV1 clearance
• Valid Victorian Security Licence
