Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will be based on‑site in either Kurri Kurri or Parramatta, NSW, and will drive new revenue opportunities across Alfabs' core industrial sectors. You will identify prospects, nurture client relationships and expand the company’s market footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Research, qualify and generate leads in mining, construction, rail and manufacturing markets.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and commercial bids.
• Negotiate terms and close deals while aligning with company objectives.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and project teams to tailor integrated solutions.
• Monitor industry trends, contribute to sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
• Attend site visits, industry events and stakeholder meetings to build networks.

Required profile

• Proven business development and sales experience, including lead generation and negotiation.
• Track record of building client relationships in industrial sectors such as mining, construction, rail or manufacturing.
• Ability to conduct market and competitor research and translate insights into growth strategies.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing proposals, bids and pricing models.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside operations, engineering and project teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Commerce, Engineering) or equivalent industry experience.
• Commitment to safety, quality and ethical business practices.
