Business Development Manager I - New Business Sales

About the role

Peninsula, which has supported businesses with Workplace Relations, HR and Health & Safety for over 40 years, is expanding its NSW sales team. It is hiring a pure Business Development Manager focused on new business, with no account management and no inherited clients. The role is based in Sydney, full time and permanent, with up to $150K base and uncapped commission, year 1 OTE of $220K+.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with business owners to understand their challenges and present Peninsula's solutions
• Manage your pipeline and opportunities through Salesforce
• Aim consistently to meet activity, revenue and conversion targets
• Build long-term relationships across the Australian SME market
• Build your own pipeline through networking, referrals, outbound prospecting and business development activity

Required profile

• Proven success in new business development or field sales
• Drive to exceed targets rather than just meet them
• Confidence engaging directly with business owners and decision makers
• Resilience, drive and self-motivation

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Pipeline management using Salesforce
