Business Development Manager – Golf & Sporting Groups

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking a passionate Business Development Manager to lead golf and sporting group sales for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and the adjacent Elysia Wellness Retreat. The role focuses on expanding the resort’s presence among golf clubs, sporting organisations, schools and leisure travel markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow golf and sporting group revenue.
• Identify, approach and build relationships with key clients across golf clubs, sporting bodies, schools and travel agencies.
• Generate new business through proactive outreach, networking, tailored proposals and participation in industry events.
• Collaborate with resort operations, events, revenue and marketing teams to deliver seamless group experiences.
• Represent the properties at trade shows, golf tournaments and other industry gatherings.
• Conduct client meetings, site inspections and maintain accurate CRM records and sales reports.
• Forge strategic partnerships with tourism and sporting organisations to drive bookings.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of business development or sales experience, preferably in golf, hospitality, tourism or sport.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and grow key accounts.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and enthusiastic about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
