Business Development Manager – Field Sales

About the role

Foodhub For Business (FFB) is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new hospitality business across an allocated territory. This is a true hunter role focused on field‑based prospecting, relationship building and closing deals.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Identify, prospect and sign hospitality businesses that match FFB’s Ideal Customer Profile.
• Generate opportunities through cold walk‑ins, cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking events and local partnerships.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery meetings and product demos to negotiation and contract signing.
• Develop a structured territory plan, maintain a qualified pipeline and build referral networks.
• Record accurate activity, opportunity and forecast data in the CRM.
• Provide market insights, competitor activity and customer feedback to the broader team.

Required profile

• Proven success in field‑based B2B sales with a hunter mentality.
• Confidence in cold calling, cold walk‑ins and face‑to‑face prospecting.
• Strong negotiation, objection‑handling and closing abilities.
• Commercial acumen to sell value over price.
• Resilience, energy and persistence to create own opportunities.
• Effective territory, time and pipeline management.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
