Business Development Manager - AWS

About the role

The AWS Business Development Manager will drive AWS growth across Australia through Ingram Micro’s AWS Startup Acceleration Initiative. This role focuses on identifying high‑potential startups and innovation‑led businesses, generating new AWS opportunities, and building a scalable go‑to‑market strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the AWS Startup Acceleration Initiative (SAI) across Australia.
• Build and develop a strategic startup ecosystem, engaging incubators, accelerators, VC firms and innovation communities.
• Identify, prospect and engage high‑potential startups, ISVs and innovation‑led businesses to generate qualified AWS opportunities.
• Recruit and enable startup‑focused partners and ISVs, and develop joint go‑to‑market initiatives with AWS and partners.
• Conduct workshops, webinars, events and other engagement initiatives targeting startups.
• Position AWS solutions across cloud migration, AI, data, security, Marketplace and professional services.
• Collaborate with Ingram Micro sales, marketing, services and delivery teams to accelerate growth.

Required profile

• Proven business development, channel sales or cloud sales experience in the Australian or ANZ technology market.
• Strong new‑business development, prospecting and lead generation capabilities.
• Experience selling or positioning cloud, SaaS or technology solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with startups, ISVs, MSPs, resellers or technology partners.
• Strong commercial, pipeline and opportunity management discipline.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build and scale new initiatives.
