Business Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Business Controller to join our brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art facility in Marsden Park, Sydney. The role will help establish robust financial controls, reporting frameworks and performance standards for a highly automated cold‑storage operation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and submit the monthly reporting pack to the group, including insights and management commentary.
• Prepare internal NewCold reporting for the Australian entity as required.
• Produce accurate weekly cash‑flow projections.
• Prepare covenant reporting to satisfy lender compliance requirements.
• Lead the annual budgeting process together with Finance, Commercial and Operations teams.
• Develop rolling forecasts and provide finance and operations input to the Commercial team.
• Support the shared service centre with recurring accounting transactions and month‑end closing.
• Monitor site financial results and collaborate with Operations leadership to identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote a cost‑conscious culture while delivering high internal customer service.
• Work with functional managers on initiatives to optimise costs and improve processes.

Required profile

• Mid‑senior level finance professional with strong commercial acumen.
• Proven experience in financial controlling, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Ability to partner effectively with operations in a technically advanced environment.
• Experience working in a fast‑growing, global logistics or manufacturing business is a plus.
