Building Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical Qualified) – FIFO 2:1

About the role

The Building Maintenance Supervisor is a hands‑on, FIFO position based in Brisbane, rotating to Weipa on a 14‑day on, 7‑day off schedule. You will lead a team of qualified tradespeople and subcontractors to keep residential properties and village infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise qualified tradesmen and subcontractors on a 2:1 roster, ensuring compliance with safety permits and KPIs.
• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance activities, supporting task entry and scheduling.
• Prepare reports for clients and stakeholders, participate in internal and regulatory audits, and act as an escalation point for issues.
• Manage the cost centre P&L and maintain accurate compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Hold trade qualifications and certificates in electrical work with QBCC accreditation (or ability to obtain).
• Physically fit, able to work long shifts (up to 11 hours) and endure remote, extreme‑weather environments.
• Willingness to obtain a recent National Police Check and pass pre‑employment medical screening.
