Bottleshop Attendant – Coastal Far North Queensland

About the role

A busy hospitality venue in Coastal Far North Queensland is looking for a motivated Bottleshop Attendant to join its live-in team. The position is casual at HIGA Level 3, with an immediate start and a preferred 6-month commitment. It suits someone who enjoys a fast-paced retail environment, provides good customer service and works independently while keeping high merchandising standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers in the onsite and offsite bottleshops
• Advise customers on Australian alcohol products
• Process alcohol sales and run the POS system accurately
• Receive, unpack, price and rotate stock
• Create product displays and promotions
• Keep the bottleshop clean, organised and well-stocked
• Help in other parts of the venue and complete extra tasks asked by the General Manager

Required profile

• Previous bottleshop, liquor retail or hospitality experience
• Excellent knowledge of Australian alcoholic beverages
• Current Queensland RSA before starting
• Communication, customer service, time management and independent work skills

What we offer

• Pay: $33.85 per hour Monday to Friday, $40.62 Saturday, $47.39 Sunday
• Private room accommodation at $78 per week (shared bathroom, donga style)
• Daily evening meal and an onsite staff kitchen
• Daily Qantas flights from Cairns, Telstra mobile and internet
• Split shifts required
